Provides tools to help parents equip law enforcement to find and identify lost or missing children

Orient Lodge announced the date for this fall’s child identification event.

Parents and their children age 18 and younger are invited to participate in a comprehensive
Child Identification Program on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Norwood Masonic Building at 76 Day St. an
d the Westwood Masonic Building at 655 High Street. The program is hosted by the Sixth Masonic District.

Your child will be fingerprinted, have a brief videotape interview, and will have a Toothprint® impression and cheek swab made by professional dental personnel. All materials are then given to parents for safekeeping; no copies are kept on file, and the program is free to all. It’s peace of mind that is well worth the time. No appointment is necessary.

The Child ID event is part of the Masons’ statewide observance of “Square & Compasses Day.” More than 230 lodges across Massachusetts will open their doors on October 20, offering tours and providing an opportunity for the community to learn more about Freemasonry.

Since 1988 the Masonic Youth Child Identification Program, or MyCHIP program, has provided resources to the families of more than 300,000 children. Learn more at www.mychip.org.
